Ron is an advocate for trade schooling. Alaska has an aging workforce and there will be a huge demand for tradesmen soon. Ron wants to make trade school accessible for everyone looking for a good-paying career.

Ron is a strong advocate for home and correspondence schooling and will do his best to see that these programs will always be available to all children.

Ron believes that once a person has reached the age of sixty-five, they should be exempt from all property taxes. On average, forty years of property taxes should be enough and if exempting those over sixty-five keeps the government from kicking one senior out of the home they spent a lifetime paying for, it will be worth it.

Ron will vote against any new taxes and will only support a tax that his constituents support.

RON'S THOUGHTS ON LIBERTY

Ron is a staunch supporter of the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and the rule of law. He is especially an advocate for the Second Amendment, believing that everyone has the right to defend themselves. Ron believes that without the Second Amendment, there would be no other rights. With many members of his family serving in all branches of the military, Ron is a proud supporter of our first responders and especially our armed forces.
